Since qualifying as a Barrister in 1994, Lisa Smith has specialised in family law representing clients in all aspects of matrimonial law. She has worked locally for many years and also in national law firms and specialist family law Chambers in London.

Lisa is a member of both Resolution and the Family Law Bar Association which places a professional obligation on her to minimise costs and strive to assist the parties to reach agreement through all available means. Lisa is committed to always dealing with matters in a constructive and conciliatory way.

Lisa believes strongly that Court proceedings are absolutely a last resort. In family cases there are no ‘winners’; it is a difficult and stressful time for all involved. By far the best resolution is a negotiated agreement that ensures the needs of any children are met appropriately and provides the best outcome possible in the circumstances. Expert advice at the outset, so you are aware of the ‘best and worst case scenarios’ and how the court would approach your case allows you to explore all possible resolutions and makes finding a compromise that is acceptable to you much more likely.

Lisa set up Heritage Park Family Law to build a team of like-minded specialist family lawyers.

Karen has practised divorce and family law for over 30 years at firms in London and Hertfordshire. She headed the family department at three of her previous firms.

Cara is an experienced specialist family lawyer having practiced in this area of law for more than 15 years. Cara’s work includes Divorce proceedings, Financial remedy proceedings, Judicial Separations, Children Act matters and Injunctive proceedings.
